I just saw Broke-Back Mountain

It was a good film. Now that I know the title... Since I've never seen any films with gay themes cept for Philadelphia and boys dont cry but they didnt have gay sex, this was the first gay kissing scenes i've ever seen. It was funny to watch but it was fine. Is this a film big in the US and other countries or more just a film that gay people and gay curious people watch? I didnt catch the entire movie and didnt see what i hear was an explicit scene in the beginning. Is it wierd to never see gay kissing and making out on tv? after all in this new century we know it exists but we see little of it. just things about gays and maybe a pucker up here and there but not sexuality. or are more shows and movies showing this side of life? it would have been better to hear them speaking enlgish, the accent is hard for francophones though, being cowboy accent and all. Have for the straight guys and lesbians, you gotta admit that the female actors in this movie have healthy busoms, n'est-ce pas?

What's with the underlines?

I dont really remember it that way. I thought boys dont cry was about the girl who was pretending to be a guy and liked girls. I was just saying it was the first gay movie i've seen. I dont see many movies. I thought it was tasteful, but i didnt see the first sex scene. was it more explicit?

I'm still on a different wavelength, are you saying that boys dont cry had lesbian type scenes in it? But it didnt have male gay scenes? Most men have seen lesbian sex probably at one point in time but surely less have seen gay men kissing and making out. I was not repulsed by it. It was actually interesting to see myself react to it and it was not negative.

it's more mainstream to see 2 women having sex with each other than 2 men, but this movie was definately a step in the right direction of equality

Are there other movies like it? Is it a movie that mostly gay and gay-open people go to see? If so, what good does it do if only those people see it? Was it a successful movie Stateside?

It was cute to see the guys all kissing each other. they obviously had lots of love for each other, which is very nice, and they were emotionally intimate. So in that way, yes it was interesting - i would call it "cute". But i didnt get excited or anything. Thing is, i fish all the time, like 2-3 times a week, so now when i went fishing after the movie, yeah my spouse rips on me now cause of the fishing. + I dont think i am handsome enought to be gay

Not really, i was asking about other films with a gay theme, and i was interested if people think there are enough films of this nature. that was my angle.

In a far off distant way that is possible. I may have identified with gay people when i was a young kid. Everyone feels like the "outsider" at some time in his life, i think so. It might be just feeling "different" and not wanting to deal with responsibilities, etc. And yes, if i have gay feelings i deny them. I dont want a gay relationship so any feelings, albeit minute, i deny and dont explore.
