Opinions on the film "Mulholland Drive"?

I only got around to seeing this film recently but I was completely blown away by how brilliant it is Indeed, it is confusing as hell in places but what else would you expect from David Lynch?!! Besides the lesbian love scene which was really hot , I love the fact that almost the first 2 hours of the film is made up of Diane's dream and then we have the final 25 minutes which pretty much explains nearly all the questions that were posed in the dream. Of course, some things in the film just don't make sense and are left unanswered but just adds to the mystery I guess Naomi Watts and Laura Harring do a great job though with the script
Anyone else see this film? I am curious to see what others thought of it.

i rented it only to see the "hot" lesbian sex scene (no...seriously...i fast forward through the entire movie to see that scene ), and let me tell you i was extremely disappointed.

it was HBO softcore porn at it's cheesiest.
$3.50 down the drain.
i could have bought a box of condoms with that money and had more fun.

Sorry, I thought it stunk up the joint! I'm not into subtleties in film. A film needs to have a beginning, a middle, and an end, or it's not a film.

well at the end of day it is a Hollywood film so it isn't gonna have really hardcore sex - censorship is still a big issue. You should take time out though to watch the whole thing .

I loved Mulholland Dr. This movie is a masterpiece! This was the first time I saw Naomi Watts and I was blown away by her perfomance. She is my favorite actress now.

I watched it with a bunch of friends at Uni, and we were all like WTF! by the end. We watched it again right after. It's confusing as hell, but that's part of the reason why I did like it. Makes you think and leaves things up to different interpretations.

I saw it a long time ago and wasn't crazy about it. What I was crazy about was the movie's obsession with Rita Hayworth... b/c she's my personal old Hollywood obsession (she and, Jean Harlow ). That's about the only thing I liked. It was too weird

movies like these are the sole reason why i prefer chick flicks. i cant understand why anyone would want to sit through movies that make you think. dont you have enough of that at work and school?

anyway, i saw half the movie before i got completely bored.

Fantastic movie
And it gets better every time I watch it.

Most of it makes sense, but even the parts that don't are good because when you're dreaming, everything is little bit fucked up anyway. So it makes sense afterall.

David Lynch is genius! He is my favourite "director"! I considered him as an artist

Indeed, I was completely blown away by Naomi Watts's performance! BEST PERFORMANCE BY AN ACTRESS EVER I HAVE SEEN!

I was like WTF when I first time saw it but watched it again and again, I understand what this movie is all about! That was simply brilliant!

Well said Ms. Lawson.

I do appreciate "artsy" films, but I also think there should be a fine line between "innovate" and "weird". I can see the point of leaving endings open for sequels or for the audience to draw their own conclusions. But if the latter's mostly the case, then I really couldn't GAF because I don't care enough about movies to start pondering how life will eventually turn out for the characters
