When I was out in Perth a few years ago, everywhere was air conditioned and I was there in a baking January, but really it was fine because you knew you wouldn't be out in it for long.
The difference in the UK is that because such hot weather as this is the exception rather than the rule, many places remain air conditioning free and we all melt, slowly and surely, as the day goes on.
Things are changing for the better in that most new cars now, even cheap ones, haved AC, so that's good and I suppose a lot of modern offices do as well, but I work in an old building where there is no such luxury and I'm sure a lot of others are in the same sweaty boat as me this afternoon.
Still, like I said before, I'm really trying not to complain because our summer is too short as it is
, but I have a horrible feeling that this post is gonna come across as a big whinge
