Jennifer North: On the phone with her mother, "I know I don't have any talent, mother, and I am doing my bust exercises. But I just sent you $50 last week, mother. Ok, I'll send you $50 more. I'll sell the mink tomorrow and wire you the money." Hang up phone, does a few "bust exercises" and then says, "To hell with 'em, let 'em droop" and goes to bed.
Anne Welles: "It's a marriage bed, Lyon, were you thinking of marriage?" And then when he finally proposes in the last scene and she responds, "I've dreamt of this moment for years, but now that it's come, I feel nothing." Then she puts a coat on and leaves the house to walk in the woods with a stick, even though it's her house.
Neely O'Hara: "Ted Casablanca is NOT a FAG! And I'm the dame who can prove it." And then when her first husband gets mad at her for ordering him around and complains that he's not the butler, Neely responds, "You're not the breadwinner, either!"
