SNL on its last legs?

I used to love this show, watched it regularly every Saturday night. But it has really gone downhill for the last 5-6 years (more than it had already), but now it's just ridiculous. I turned it on tonight because there was nothing else on, and what are they showing? A montage to their TV Funhouse clips?

It's just a matter of time now before SNL goes off the air for good.

They're never live anymore it's always reruns but I still like the show.

The woods are hopeless. Don't waste your time, they will be destroyed. So will the marsh. It is a losing game mankind has played for more than a century. Sadness is what you are, do not deny it. The universe is a lonely place, a painful place. This is what we can share between us, period.

I watched a bit of the "best of" episode tonight, but it didn't keep my attention for long. I actually find myself watching Mad TV much more than SNL lately for that 30 minute period that they're both on. Honestly though some of this best of stuff is better than the unfunny shows they've been putting out these past few years. Even still, SNL has a large fan base (or so it seems), so I don't know if it's going to end anytime soon.

tonight was a bad night...i didnt even watch it...but i think the show has turned around considerably in the last year or two...the female cast especially right now is really fun, amy phoeler(sp?) is amazing, tina fey and her on weekend update is a sure laugh...some skits are not well done at all but its def better than it was 4-5 years ago imo!

Amy and Tina are the best and only good points of the show now. I don't know if I'd say it's better now that 4-5 years ago, because at least Chris Kattan was still on the show then and you could occasionally get a Mr. Peepers or Mango skit.

"No! You cannot a have, a the Mango!"

That was an awesome episode tonight.

I think the show isn't doing too bad right now, but they desperately need a "star" on the show.

Patiently waiting for ANA, MISA and DANI to start playing tennis again.

That was heartbreaking when they left. But I have the Best of Molly Shannon Collection!

Molly was good, but she got a little annoying after a while. Cheri was really funny though.

Since Will Ferrell left, it hasn't been the same. Cheri Oteri was great too.
