You're getting gouged

Gas prices are SUPPOSED to be going back down.

It's 2.79 or lower here.

Oh, and if you own two SUVs and a BMW, you shouldn't be bitching about costs of things.

Why not? The BMW is 2002, the other 2 vehicles are much older than that.

In Britain petrol companies like BP make less than 1p on fuel and get their profit only on snack sales. Despite this fuel is like 95p/litre which I think is $7-8/gallon

Daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayum, I guess, compared to that, it does look like I am bitching. $8.00 a gallon, I would buy a bicycle.

It is all about conserving. I truly believe that if people would cut back on their driving just a little bit it would be reflected at the pump.

Well, can I turn this to a political thread? ... and say, you can thank to some of the World leaders who made wars and didn't think one day the American people won't have another choice but to pay high prices.

Exactly, and then the World Hustlers try to buy us off with a $100.00 check, while all the while hiding legislation in the very same bill to further destroy our enviorment. Time for alternative fuel sources.

I just hope USA and EU will put enough money in research to find some new ways of getting the energy we need with our current way of living. For the moment, people can invest in something with a hybrid engine

God how I would love to buy petrol for $3.15 a gallon! I filled my tank up last week and it cost me nearly £25 to get about 25 litres, which I believe if I get all the converting right works out in $ and gallons as being $45 for 6 gallons Which means here in the UK, well at least in the South East anyway, we pay about $7.5 per gallon I hate the tax on petrol here!
