Going to Puerto Rico... anyone traveled outside of San Juan?

I'm going to Puerto Rico for work in about a week and a half........ the work will be at a plant in the central area for a few days. Since the airfare on my business trips are paid by my client, I ususally like to take a few extra days and explore.

I've been to Puerto Rico before, but only in San Juan, the rainforest, and snorkeling off Fajardo. Has anybody had a really great time anywhere else in Puerto Rico (outside of San Juan) that you could recommend?

How about Vieques.... it sounds great but is two or three days enough to really enjoy Vieques?

Flamenco beach on Culebra is beautiful. You can take a boat from Fajardo. about an hour each way if I remember. There's also a good art museum in Ponce, which is on the other side of the island. Never have made it to Vieques, but plan to the next time.

Thanks for your ideas... I didn't say so right away because the trip is delayed for a few weeks (April 15).

I had to go to Adjuntas once. The views and land were very pretty, but I'm not sure it would be worth the time to get there.
