Trolls

They seem to come out of nowhere, but are more and more on this board...

Shouldn't we create a system to prevent them for posting, or at least to create threads ?

Something like only authorize "older" posters to create new threads, I know this wouldn't be easy to do, but it would still spare us all these stupid threads pattyfan, jas 123 or other seles, davenport have been creating lately...

This can't last. This misery can't last. I must remember that and try to control myself. Nothing lasts really. Neither happiness nor despair. Not even life lasts very long. There'll come a time in the future when I shan't mind about this anymore, when I can look back and say quite peacefully and cheerfully how silly I was. No, no, I don't want that time to come ever. I want to remember every minute, always, always to the end of my days.

when you say "older" do you mean older age or being on the board longer
Because I'm one of the young ones...

Well, I'm sure that would be hard, but how are we meant to know who are trolls or not. We need to wait a while to figure out for sure if they are trolls or not...

Every board has its share of trolls and it helps not to feed them by arguing when you know they're only doing it to annoy you.

Unsurprisingly they disappear more swiftly after appropriate use of the report post function and a bit of patience.

While we are at it, let's also ignore people who try to control the postings of other people on the board.!.!.!.

Without Troll we'd have no drama and thats not fun at all.

The woods are hopeless. Don't waste your time, they will be destroyed. So will the marsh. It is a losing game mankind has played for more than a century. Sadness is what you are, do not deny it. The universe is a lonely place, a painful place. This is what we can share between us, period.

Honestly, trolls are half the fun of posting here, some are very funny!

Half the hilarity of trolls is how people fall into the traps each. and. every. time.

There's more than a grain of truth here. I'm guilty of falling into those traps sometimes, and every time I know I'm doing it! A really good troll knows how to push just the right buttons.
