Post Has anyone seen "Amйlie"?

I went to see it yesterday. 5 people in the auditorium.. Well, I watch almost no Hollywood flicks or TV series in US - almost all of them are plain and stupid, have no purpose, and just a waste of time.. But if a foreign movie reaches this suburb of true culture, it should not be missed. Amйlie is amazing. Watching it is not a two hours of entertainment, while it does turn entertaining soemtimes. It's two hours of hard mindwork. If you won' turn your mind on right away, you'll find it hard to resist leaving after just 15 minutes. If anything ever can make you a better person, this movie will. Picturization of human mind. With all our weaknesses, weirdnesses, impulses, cruelnesses. Human soul turned inside out. I think Best Foreign Language Academy Award can be considered gone.

And Audrey Tautou is simply amazing .. ( Why is that I have an allergy for most of American actors and actresses, while it is for me to fall in love with everything French, except for their sportsmen, of course <img src="smile.gif" border="0"> ..)

I absolutely loved Le Fabuleux Destin d'Amélie Poulin. It's hilariously funny,a firework of great ideas, makes one see life and the world in a positive light...

Such a shame there were only 5 people in the theatre,ys.

Everything you do continues long after you've gone

Yes, again, but not any soon. next time on DVD. I love multiple replays of episodes that I am not sure I understood correctly.

Bump!

I just watched Amelie over the weekend at the cinemas. I missed the first run 2 months back and immediately went to watch it when the movie was brought back for the 2nd run due to the academy award nomination.

What can I say about this movie....
Truly arty, realistic, simply enjoyable and makes you think about life....
All the little bits & pieces that most of us ignore in life can be so magical and sweet.

This movie's a gem.....
