Anyone here from Toulouse?

I'm going to a Rugby match on Toulouse in January and as a) the match is on a Sunday and b) my flight home isn't until the Monday evening, I'm looking at going somewhere else as I've already been to Toulouse. Bordeaux, Biarritz and Perpignan are also out as I've spent weekends there before.

Ideally I'd like to go to Barcelona or Madrid but the SNCF trains aren't well timed, and flights are a fortune.

Are there any cheaper ways to go to Spain or is there any other city I can go to for, at a maximum of 100 euros?

Assuming your flight is from Toulouse airport, it depends on what you want to see and if a maximum of 100 Euros means including a place where you can sleep. It also depends on which Sunday/Monday in January you mean.
I don't know if you can get to Barcelona without spending more than a 100 Euro, but chances are that you won't find the public transportation you want on a Sunday. My advice: before you head to Toulouse, look up what you want to see, and before you go to the match, figure out what time the train or flight leaves and returns.

I'm there between the 13th and 16th. I think I'll probably end up spending the Sunday in Carcassonne as the trains are reasonably regular and I can have a lie in as well, which will be much needed if my team win! It would also be easier to get tickets when I'm there as well.

If you have only been to these places for a week end surely you could go back and see much more The Cathars castles are pretty good and you could stay in Toulouse and go by train for a day or two. The countryside is really nice too.
On the spanish side, you could go to the north coast of Spain which is lovely with Figueres (Dali Museum depending if you like it or not), and on the coast Cadaques etc... It is much nicer in the summer but the weather will be lovely (even if cold) at this time of the year... Believe me on that one, I live about 30 km from the spanish border (Perpignan).
But surely from Toulouse you could have a day out somewhere very nice, I can look things up for you if you want
