Is anyone here orthodox - that would mostly be Serbs, Russians and Greeks
come in here if you feel left out. lol
Well, in Australia I always do - our Xmas isnt till 7th January - and even when it does come around it feels like its not even here - we just go to church to light up a candle thats all.
When we first came here - I was mad with Xmas decorations our house was always covered in Xmas crap in and out every year - but eventually these last two years I've totally lost interest.
All my friends are celebrating Christmas tomorrow - and my isnt till like another 2 weeks and by the time it comes every1 had taken their lights and Christmas trees down and everything is back to normal - so therefore since I've migrated to Aus - I havent had a proper Christmas - or even received a christmas present - Orthodox people dont give out presents - but some do - I've never received anything(so sad).
If I ever have kid we will celebrate the "Australian" (cant call it Catholic) Christmas
coz I dont want my girl (the future Wimbledon Champion) to be left out.
So right now we dont have a tree in the house and despite telling my friends a MILLION times that I dont celebrate this Christmas - that mine is on the 7th of january - they still keep asking me what I'm getting tomorrow - its so depressing. lol
Does anyone empathise with me.
