Cool Your favourite SCENE-STEALING co-star/recurring character on a TV show

The scene stealers I’m referring to are not household names.

Some of the scene-stealing co-stars I’m referring to are in their TV show’s opening credits and some of them are not. Their name is usually one of the last to be shown if they’re in the opening credits.

EXAMPLE: Kevin Weisman as Marshall Finkleman on “Alias”
Paula Malcomson as Trixie on “Deadwood”
Ken Jenkins as Dr. Bob Kelso on “Scrubs”

Some of the scene-stealing co-stars have recurring roles on their TV show.

EXAMPLES: Susie Essman as Susie Greene on “Curb Your Enthusiasm”
Jeremy Sisto as Billy Chenowith on “Six Feet Under”
Willie Garson as Stanford Blatch on “Sex and the City”

For many, including myself, these scene stealers are the main reason for watching these shows.

Here are some of my favourites:

REGULAR
Tony Hale as Buster Bluth on “Arrested Development”
Melinda Clarke as Julie Cooper-Nichol on “The OC”
Christine Willes as Delores Herbig on “Dead Like Me”

RECURRING
Emy Coligado as Piama Tananahaakna on “Malcom in the Middle”
Kelly Carlson as Kimber Henry on “Nip/Tuck”
Wallace Langham as David Hodges on “CSI: Crime Scene Investigation”

Who are your favourite scene stealers?

I like Scrubs, but I liked it even more before it became 'In' if you know what I mean? You know, like Alanis early days.

And when I watched Sex and the City (I was in love with Charlotte ), I always thought Stanford was a very funny character.

Most of the rest of those shows I have never watched. I have a few TV series that I tend to watch, over and over, but for me it's mostly movies.

I don't know the actors names but both Omar (the nemesis to the drug dealers) and Prez (the detective who handles the phone calls) on The Wire stand out among the supporting characters.

Jennifer Coolidge in Joey and pretty much anything.

Emma Caulfield from Buffy.

Well, back when The West Wing was a good show I always liked the episodes when Ainsley Hayes (played by Emily Procter) would make an appearence. Ainsley was such a great character. Then Emily left for the piece of crap that is CSI: Miami.

I totally agree, although my favourite character was always CJ - Alison Janney. But now the West Wing also totally sucks.

Yeah CJ was my overall favourite too (especially when she'd go on one of her many rants) but Ainsley was like I dunno... a breath of fresh air She was just so ditzy, yet smart.
