Adult Acne HELP!

HELP!!!

ok so i never had any acne problems as a teen, but now (almost 25 years old) i am starting to get pimples and acne

so i am trying to deal with this because it is getting really bad really fast (like 2 weeks ago i had nothing, now its all over )

what can i do?

i have stridex face wipe to go and stridex antibaterial foaming facial wash. but i dont know if its strong enough, or the right thing. plus the face wipes to go have alcohol in them and it burns a bit, so if there are face wipes that dont burn that would be cool.

Go see a dermatologist and get professional help. A face fucked up by acne is the worst and so you need to make it a priority with the very best advice money can buy.

Stridex? That shit will ruin your skin. It's far too harsh.

Go to Mario Badescu in NYC, or just go to his website and get a free kit to see if you like it.

Also, take Evening Primrose Oil. It's amazing how well it works.

Go see a dermotologist as soon as possible. The Serious Skin Care line is what I use lol; its really good although I use about 5 different products a day

Thats unfortunate. From a store I would get: 1) some kind of cleanser like Neutrogena 2) a gel to put on overnight like Differin 3) maybe some pads like Stridex but those are pretty harsh; i forget what the ones I used to use are called. Look for stuff with benzoyl peroxide in it; Clean and Clear and Clearsal are supposed to be good

Try the Mario website. It's free, girlie. How can you turn that down? They'd probably give you a free consultation & samples if you go to their office.

As for face wipes, I don't recommend them. I hate that film they leave behind on your skin. I used them a few times in Europe and they made me feel like shit.

If you want clear skin, you've got to use AT LEAST a mild cleanser, a toner, and a moisturizer. Also, a face scrub about twice a week to get off all the ickiness that builds up on your skin and a face mask once every week/two weeks.

Ditto. Get the Deep Clean Cleanser Mask (leave it on for 3 minutes twice a week), the 60 second Mask Scrub (every day), and the Oil Free Acne Wash (every day). This totally does the trick for me. Evening primrose oil does work too as already mentioned. Tomato Paste soap works wonders too...you can usually find it at hippie supermarket chains like Whole Foods.

If you're looking for something stronger, I know friends who have used Proactiv. It works, but the only problem is that the way it works is that it sucks out all the oil...and it seeps out onto your face. So for the first week or two of using it, your face is a MESS. After that, it looks absolutely fantastic. So if you're willing to look like a pepperoni pizza for 7-14 days, try Proactiv I suppose.

Pay with cash then or a credit card. Or steal it. Your face is too important.

Off the shelf acne medicines don't help. I've had acne since I was 12 (now 15). I use ProActiv Solution. It is truly amazing. P. Diddy, Jessica Simpson, and Britney Spears use it.

All this shit with creams is blah. It all what you are eating. You are what you eat, and you tell me you eat out all the time? Tell me if I'm wrong, but eating out in NY = junk junk and more junk food. I used to drink a can of coke a day and have sugar rushes all the time. Then, my sister got sick and my family converted into alternative medicine and healthy eating. ALL my spots went and just felt great in genral.

Firstly, you must drink plenty of water....no fizzy drink shit. Sure, have the occasional one, but not daily. Try to eat as much fruit and vegetables as you want/can. You can make smoothies and all sorts of lush stuff(mango ). And just try to avoid as much sugar as you can. If you do clean up your diet, they'll all go. Fuck these face wipes, they just cover up the underlying problem and don't get to the root of it

Women's tennis sucks.

Go Rafa.

Myth: Acne is related to diet Reality: Prevailing wisdom in the dermatology community is that diet and acne are not related. Of course science is never a 100% reliable enterprise. But at this time, there is no evidence that chocolate, sugar, oil, milk, seafood, or any other food causes acne. Some people absolutely insist that a certain food causes acne for them, or that a specific acne diet works for them. In this case, doctors sometimes recommend that they avoid that food or follow that diet. Regarding chocolate specifically, several studies have been performed, and the answer to "does chocolate cause pimples?" is a resounding "No".
