Who knows their biology stuff?

i took a biology exam today at uni and afterwards we were allowed to take the question paper home. (obviously we were not allowed to take our answers home)

from the question paper there's 50 questions and so far i think i have answered 11 right

can anybody answer this?

blood is carried to capillaries in the myocardium by way of

a) the coronary sinus or
b) the aorta or
c) coronary arteries or
d) coronary veins or

which one is it? i dont want to tell you the answer i wrote in case i got it wrong

Right, i only do GCSE , but i think i know this one!

If you ask me, id go for the aorta, as the aorta takes blood round the body and through capillaries

From my A-level knowledge, I'll go with coronary arteries.

Coronary vessels carry blood to and from the muscles in the heart, and arteries carry blood to the capillaries... But that's just an (intelligent) guess on my part. I'm not sure.

I'm pretty sure the first one is C James. The Aorta is the main blood vessel that carries blood from the heart. The vena cava brings blood into the heart (thats a vein) The pulmonary vein brings oxygenated blood into the left ventricle, and the pulmonary artery takes deoxygenated blood away from the right venrticle to the lung. We didn't do coronary stuff, that was back to GCSE, and I did that in Welsh

Women's tennis sucks.

Go Rafa.

A Haem portion... Oxygen ligates to the transitional iron ion

the 2nd question, im guessing here!

but i think its Haem

when oxygen reacts with haemoglobin, oxyhaemoglobin is produced

which is why i think haem

cos if it was globin, i think it would be called

haemoxyglobin

D formation of plasma proteins

The kidney does control disposal of waste products, and concentration of body fluid
