My cat is being put down. :(

I'm really upset because he's the first cat that i've ever had and although he was really really sweet he also had a bad side. He attacked my brother a few days ago and he missed out on doing some exams because of it and so we decided to put him down because he has attacked (severly) almost everyone in my family. He was really sweet though and it's so hard to have to put him down At least my other cat will be happy without him.

Some pics of him

Unhappy

Yeah, it's sad to be putting him down because he had a very sweet personality sometimes. But it's for the best, because next time the injury could be worse.

In regard to that last photo, he used to go crazy over that dirty dressing gown, lol.

Had my doggie put down early in the year...see my signature...she was very ill.
It was tough..we stayed with her while they gave her the injection.

Are you certain that nobody else can give your cat a home...it seems a pity to put him to sleep just because he is a grumpy cat? Maybe your vet could suggest a way of locating a possible owner. Did he only start behaving this way when you got your second cat???

trust me, i don't want to put him down. my mum thinks that he will just go and attack other people if he is rehoused, and it's too late anyway, he's at the vet now

Oh dear....its a pity he couldn't be relocated.

As I asked before...did his behaviour change after you introduced a new cat to the household???

Yeah it's a he his name is/was Monty.

No, he was quite savage before we got Annabel but we gave him female hormone injections which made him slightly more mellow, but he still is a bit savage

Actually yes it did, quite dramatically. He attacked our other cat Annabel several weeks after we re-housed her (we got her from the RSPCA). He was very annoyed we had got another cat.

We tried putting them together on multiple occasions but Annabel was so frightened of him that she got into the habit of wetting herself, and since then it's all been down hill and whenever he see's her he will attack her.

Sorry I keep referring to him in the present tense. It's gonna be hard to get used to.
