Animals in the workplace

Thinking about this issue, as griffin has been allowed to bring hers in and my boss has allowed my munchkins in. So I thought what the hell, do a poll.

Depends on how rare is the animal...

PS: I work at the local zoo

I can't think of a witty signature right now. I like turtles.

I know the manager and he lets me feed/play with most of the non lethal animals (my favs are monkeys and camels)

I can't think of a witty signature right now. I like turtles.

Oh!? I didn't know WTAworld hired people to work in general messages!
I wouldn't like to have the responsability of making shure that visitors do not feed the trolls!
Cool job!

My present boss would allow pets but only if it's very occasionally. My ex-bosses allowed it and even encouraged and enjoyed it.

I wouldn't say my boss is cool , but we have had quite a few dogs in the office. I mean the animal kind.

But are your bosses posters here, who you both threatened to ban if they said no?

I teach piano, so bringing animals to work is a no-no!

Well, I kind of am the boss. If I had non-psycho people working for me, I'd be fine with it. But with the nut-jobs I have around here, it would get out of control, then people would want to bring their kids in, like "If so and so can bring their dog, then why can't I bring my kid in and save on daycare." Then I'm sure someone would then claim to be allergic and then the persons with the pets would think they were making it up because they don't like animals, and then there would be tears and scandal. Then dog food would start disappearing and there would be accusations of theft among them and more tears and more scandal. Then the inevitable dog-turd would appear, no one would own up to it, and there would be finger-pointing, more tears, and more scandal! Then people would start bitching about dog hair being around the office and then they'd be comparing the hair to whose dog it is and start gossiping behind each other's backs like "so and so doesn't brush their dog, she's a slob." This lead to....you guessed it....more tears and more scandal. So no dogs! But it's their own fault.

I had to stop monthly birthday parties because there was tears and scandal about the quality of cakes for one month versus another, and you think I could get away with letting pets into the workplace?
