I wonder where they got that money from? I'm sure it was from the always present "building fund" offering that comes up every service.
Summerville pastor, wife charged with arson, released on bond
(Summerville) May 3, 2005 - The pastor and his wife charged with arson in a fire that gutted the Bethel African Methodist Episcopal Church last week have posted bail.
The Reverend Harold Hunter, 55, and Patricia H. Hunter, 55, each met a $50,000 bond Tuesday during an appearance in town court.
Thursday's fire followed three earlier acts of vandalism at the 64-year-old church. Police had suspected they were inside jobs.
Police say they found gas on the pastor's shoes and on clothing in the Hunters' home.
No one was hurt in the blaze.
Hunter's attorney, Eduardo Curry, did not immediately return a telephone call from The Associated Press seeking comment.
Hunter had been pastor for three years
