Movies you seen and loved (others may not have seen)

This is one of my favourite movies. Now maybe not everybody saw it. Could be you have a favourite that you don’t think many on the board may have seen?

Here’s the plot summary for ‘Local Hero’ supplied by http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0085859/ .

Oil billionaire Happer sends Mac to a remote Scottish village to secure the property rights for an oil refinery they want to build. Mac teams up with Danny and starts the negotiations, the locals are keen to get their hands on the 'Silver Dollar' and can't believe their luck. However a local hermit and beach scavenger, Ben Knox, lives in a shack on the crucial beach which he also owns. Happer is more interested in the Northern Lights and Danny in a surreal girl with webbed feet, Marina. Mac is used to a Houston office with fax machines but is forced to negotiate on Bens terms.

The movie also boasts a superb soundtrack from Mark Knopfler.

Ricochet River. one of the most beautiful movies I've ever seen. And practically no one knows it. Smoke Signals is in the same lines, and as good. I like this culture.

Hehe maybe I should’ve changed the title of this thread to ‘Post it and they shall come’?

I have never got around to watching the other 2. Seen them on TCM a few times, but never watched them.
