White, a six-time world championship runner-up, has rebuilt his career after recovering from testicular cancer.
"I just wish him and his family a speedy recovery," said White.
And seven-time world champion Stephen Hendry has also passed on his support.
"This is terrible news and the kind of news that puts things in perspective," said the Scot. "It's the kind of thing that happens to other people, not one of your own. "I'd just like to say on behalf of myself and all the other players and staff at my management company that we wish Paul a speedy and full recovery."
My sisters freind had a cist once and she didnt have cancer? None the less, i wish him a quick recovery.
Actually it isn´t uncommon that there are cists in the colon, it doesn´t have to mean anything. The doctor can remove those and have it diagnosed.
Must be really hard for Paul. It really scares the hell out of me, hearing about young people who have diseases you wouldn´t think about in that age, especially when you´re a sports pro, a "healthy" person. I had to make a colon-test as well a year ago to rule out cancer after months of digestion problems and every day I am thankful that I am ok after all. I am sure Paul will have a lot of support and make it through this.
OMG, this is such shocking and horrible news!!! Paul Hunter is one of my favorites together with Ronnie ("the Rocket") O’Sullivan and Stephen Hendry.
Paul is such a great talent and we just can’t afford to lose such a wonderful snooker player. (No need to mention his great looks and charm ) I truly hope he recovers very soon and totally.
If he still intends to play in Sheffield as stated, I wish him the very best luck!!!
Please get well soon, we love you Paul!!!!!!!!!!
I had no idea, so thank you, GoDominique for the information.
