Aint nothing better than the original. Roberta HANDS DOWN. Beyonce has the tendency to over-sang sometimes....im my opinion...thats cus she is new school and dont know that you can make a song sound really good without oversanging (ex: Luther, Donnie and Robert) Roberta is the REAL MCOY baby. Her voice is smooth as butter. I think Beyonce did a good rendition of her song, but it comes now where near as good as the original. Luther was really the highlight of Beyonce's version.

Venus and Serena ....Often imitated NEVER duplicated!!!!!!!

You got that right! Luther made that song just like he did with Endless Love with him and Mariah. Beyonce's got talent but her voice can be so ugly sometimes. Roberta Flacks wins this easily because her version is so pretty and you totally feel the emotion in the vocals and lyrics.

Roberta flack. Roberta is amazing anyways. I mean so many of her songs are timeless..The closer i get to you, feel like making love, first time ever i saw your face, killing me softly, where is the love? and when Miss Roberta did a dance club tune "uh huh oh oh, look out here it comes' ....well i'll never forget the night at Tracks when i first heard this jam and about had an orgasm on the dance floor.

wouldnt be the last time either, but that might have been the first. Miss Flack does no wrong.

and he said to me:
do not seal up the words of the prophecy, for the time is near
behold, I am coming soon

its a one time thing,
it just happens, a lot

yes, Luther is my man..........he is the king of remakes but I have to go with Roberta and Donny. If I remember correctly Beyonce did the arrangement and I do not like most of her vocal arrangements.....this song no different.
