I hope nominations for The Sea Inside; and who knows, maybe Almodovar can grab another one for his screenplay
Gael in best actor for Bad Education would be fantastic, althought it's impossible
To sum up; I want a bit of variety in the nominations; more languages and more films that's why I will probably be pissed off after them

Oh god, waits of lizchris's bashing of the white nominees, and the supposed racism behind the black actors/actresses that dont get recognised

The next big thing: Voegele

I saw "The Aviator" over the weekend, and Cate was the only good thing about the movie. I didn't really like it, but Cate's performance was amazing. It'll be a tight race between her and Nathalie Portman in "Closer"

does anyone else find it funny that someone who was on beverley hills 90210 could easily have 2 oscars in a month and that someone who has been in some of the worst comedy shows/movies ever is nominated in both acting categories?

i'm not saying that don't deserve it in any way - just find it very strange

Great observation! I never would have imagined Jamie Foxx capable of such performances, let alone being cast in these movies. And after Boys Don't Cry, nothing surprises me with Hilary Swank anymore. Can't wait to see Million Dollar Baby on Friday!
