The Political Test

http://www.okcupid.com/politics

I'm not sure about the reliability of these things; I tried to answer as the biggest fascist going and only came out as a "Strong Republican". Either way, at least I'd get public transport to run on time!

The test says that I am a Republican.

The test is officially fucked.

Its Americanist genre makes it difficult for neutral observers like ourselves to relate to it. For instance, Republicanism in France is massively different to Republicanism in the U.S.A. and to advocate the view that professional athletes are paid too much is contentious as many are from working class backgrounds and would not care to relinquish a penny in spite of Socialist tradition.

Cool.

Maria is officially listed in the same bracket as Hitler, Stalin and Darth Vader.

Again, it's only in the conext of the American political spectrum. Unless you openly condemn the oppression of a particular national minority or something where you're pretty much tarnished with the same brush in most Western societies.

Stalin didn't want to do either in his ideology but was arguably the most terrifying leader in the history of modern Europe with purges that killed millions. All dictatorships share the common denominator of eliminating all opposition to the regime, be it exile, expulsion or coercion.

Hate to burst your bubble but the summary of political preferences is the same no matter what political stigma the candidate receives. To be so positive to all participants is possibly a good way of attaining data on voting patterns as denoted at the end of the test.

I just checked my political dictionary.

They say using moderator powers to delete innocent members posts for no apparent reason is the first step to dictatorship.
