Intense workouts (The morning after)

Hey guys, I had a strenuous workout yesterday and quite frankly I feel like roadkill today. What tips does everyone have to get over this ?

Stretching. Also on days you're going to work out drink lots of water, eat peanut butter, and boiled eggs. Nasty I know, but those prepare your body fairly well for the activity.

Also I forget, but I believe after the workout if you can take a bath in cold water.. it helps more than hot water to get the buildup that develops around your bones.

Just don´t wait to long for the next workout...you should do it regulary, so your muscles get used to it and you will never have sore muscles again

I guess the only thing you can do is trying to stretch a little (!) bit and wait.

I don't know, I either get them for free or my business manager pays. I haven't carried cash since the 1940's!

Stretch properly after you work out. Do a proper cooldown; don't just stop abruptly. Eat a lot of carbohydrates. The next day, exercise again lightly, which usually helps muscle aches, at least for me. And the more intense workouts you do and the better shape you are in, the used-dishrag fatigued feeling will gradually lessen.

Yeah you should always warm up before and then warm down after. And it's true the more you do it the less it will hurt the next day. I kind of like that aching feeling though cause at least it means I've done some hard work. I don't do any kind of exercize these days though. I'm so out of shape now that even walking up stairs too fast will cause me to have major cramping the next day

warm ups and warm downs dont do anything for me.. The advice id give is go regulalry.. If you dont stop for more than a week, your body just gets used to it and it doesnt hurt afterward..but if u take a break and go back it will alwas hurt the first time back
