gun control - i live in texas, does that answer the question?

abortion - i'm all for it, but if i was in that situation, i don't know if i could do it.

gay marriage - once again, all for it.

war in iraq - don't know a lot about it. feel bad about them dying, but so long as it's all-volunteer, they know what they're getting in to.

election 2004 - not registered to vote, so my opinion doesn't count...but i'd vote for bush; edit: if i were registered, my vote would be for bush. kinda confusing answer there

stem cell research - uh....what??

What's your stand on ... Gun Control?

For complete restriction of private firearm ownership.

What's your stand on ... Abortion?

Politically I think it said be legal in all cases. Personally I think I'd have a hard time befriending anyone who has had one, except in cases where the pregnancy endangered the mother's life.

What's your stand on ... Gay Marriage?

For. Duh. Though I don't think it's necessarily as big a deal as some are making it out to be, the legal/economic/etc. benefits should be available to gays.

What's your stand on ... The war in Iraq?

Against. Period.

What's your stand on ... Election 2004?

Gun control? I am against it. Everyone should have the right to be armed the way they see fit if they chose to.

Abortion? I am against it in almost all situations except where the life of the mother is threatened if she gives birth.

Gay Marriage? Much ado about nothing. IMO, society should move to abolish all kinds of marriages. In my ideal world, there won't be any institutions like family, marriage, etc. Sort of like the anarchist world in a Ursula LeGuin's "The Dispossessed".

The War in Iraq? The most unjust war in my life time. Thinking about all the dead civilians makes me "scowl".

Election 2004? Hopefully Americans will choose what is right for the rest of the world. But, I think that is a hopeless hope.

Stem Cell Research? Don't know much about it to say if I am for or against it, but since I am against abortion, I have a feeling I will be against SCR.

Gun control: All for it, it is pathetic the right to carry a firearm is in the US constitution. A gun should be carried by those who need to use it professionally only.
Abortion: For, but with limitations. Alternative options such as giving the child up for adoption should be considered first.
Gay marriage: For it, gay people should have the same rights attached to marriage as heterosexuals
War in Iraq: Did an do not support it. Have a double feeling though, as I am happy that Saddam is gone. The chaos that replaced his reign however has even made the situation worse for the Iraqi people.
Election 2004: In support of Kerry, because Bush is far too conservative for me. His eagerness to go to war (for no good reason) is also not a plus for George.
Stem Cell Research: If this research is aimed at finding cures for diseases, I'm for it. I'm not for attempts to create the perfect human being excluding certain groups.

What's your stand on ... Gun Control?

I'm not into guns, I get drunk too much and take too many yellow ones to have a gun around the house. Jess and Floyd didn't care for guns either. I think guns are sort of low-budget. Anyway, because I don't want a gun, I don't care what the laws are.

What's your stand on ... Abortion?

Well, it's very dangerous, very illegal, and it can create a scandal if the papers get hold of it. Isn't it just easier to marry the creep or take a "vacation" "out of town" like in the sixth month and then just come home with the baby and claim you found it at an "orphanage" and you "adopted" it? That's how it's done in Hollywood, folks, and if it's good enough for movie stars, it's good enough for you.

What's your stand on ... Gay Marriage?

Since I have no interest in marrying a woman, I don't care what happens. I only care about issues that have a direct impact on my life. I don't approve of shacking up, though, it's very immoral, so gays should be allowed to marry because then they wouldn't have to shack up and live in sin.

What's your stand on ... The war in Iraq?

That USO tour was hard as hell and I got paid very little, and I had to do the whole year tour of duty with Neely!! How do you think I feel?

What's your stand on ... Election 2004?

I can't get straight who's running. Neely might know that one guy because he was on the Addams' Family when she was married to Gomez. I'm not sure who that other guy is on stage with him. I'm not going to vote for the one who lisps, but I like Southern men, so maybe I'll go that route. I have like a year to decide.

What's your stand on ... Stem Cell Research?

Given I've chainsmoked since the 1930's, drink many bottles of champagne each day, and take many, many yellow pills each day, and am 86 years old, basically anything with a chance of extending my life I'm for.

What's your stand on ... Gun Control?

-- I don't like guns at all (well, I do like them in biathlon... )

What's your stand on ... Abortion?

-- I'm not saying that I especially like the idea (aargh *wishes for better wording*) but I do consider myself to be pro-choice. I can't imagine how awful it must be to come to this decision...

What's your stand on ... Gay Marriage?

-- Absolutely - why not? What is the problem if two people love each other and want to make this commitment to each other...

What's your stand on ... The war in Iraq?

-- I am happy that Saddam Hussein has gone (he absolutely needed to go) but it absolutely tears me apart to see what is happening there right now and to think of the lives that have been lost. I wish I had the answer to this...

What's your stand on ... Election 2004?

-- I hope America will make the right choice...

What's your stand on ... Stem Cell Research?

-- I'm afraid I don't really know enough about this...

So long, signature...

What's your stand on ... Stem Cell Research? - not sure.

Gun Control, certain measures need to be in place. No more trading/buying/selling of guns at flea markets or gun shows without proper ID check. Also assault weapons should be banned forever.

Abortion, should be allowed because not everyone can aford a screw up they make early in life. Also teens shouldn't have to get parental permission before getting one.

The War is the dumbest thing yet, it's cost us more in terms of lives of lost US fighters and lost Iraqi's than Saddam would have killed over the next 20 years.

Election 2004, Kerry is my man. I hope he certainly beats Bush. Everyone in the world can agree a change is in order. Hope is on the way with Kerry/Edwards.

Stem Cell research, I am completely for. If people are going to have abortions and kill the babies anyway, why not take that life and make another life out of it. This could help diabetics (and it's sad to see a young child suffering from this), paraliyzed individuals, and also many other disease and genetic defects. I believe that it's not a thing of the devil, because if god didn't want us to have this knowledge he wouldn't have given it to the scientists to begin with.

Most importantly, Gay Marriage, should be ALLOWED. A marriage should be defined as a union between two people that LOVE EACH OTHER. Love knows no bounds but unfortunately the Holy Rollers are living back about 500 years ago. I think they are angry our marriages would out last their cheating affair filled ones. Gay couples should have the right to marriage, and also benefits. 'Nuff Said!

I'm BACK & SINGLE. So lock up all the hotties!
