Canadian Minority Government on the Ropes
Canada's Liberal Minority Government looks as if it will lose a vote of confidence on the speech from the throne in the House of Commons this evening after only 2 days in session.
The Liberals (Centrist) hold 135 out of 308 seats. They will be supported this time by the New Democratic Party (NDP) which is the social democratic party and has 19 seats.
The separatist Bloc Quebecois (Quebec Independence Party) has 53 seats, and the right wing Conservatives have 99 seats. There is one independent conservative.
The Liberal/NDP side will have 153, to 153 with the Bloc/Conservatives. One liberal is the speaker and cannot vote, and the independent is undecided.
Thoughts (Canadians or otherwise)??
