Unhappy I'm in deep shit!

One of my friends just told me that he has cancer and his condition is look not good. His doctor says he will dead within one year. I really upset to hear the devastating news.

I want to ask you guys to help me for suggesting what should we help him do something before he gone? I don't know what else to say besides that.

I'm very sorry to her that, although I would say that your friend is in deeper shit than you.

I guess all you can do is be there for him as much as you can. But don't suffocate him with too much attention, give him space to think of his situation privately. Don't change your behaviour too much around him, i.e., don't remind him of his condition on every moment you are together, just do whatever you guys used to do together.

Matt

This really sucks of course. It is always a sad thing, but especially when someone is still so young Like the others said, try to be there for him as much as possible. Maybe you can ask what he has always wanted to do and then you can maybe fulfil his dreams. Give him something to look forward to for those days.

Best of luck to you and of course, more importantly so, to him.

It might help reading that?

Sorry to hear that I agree with Psychon, let him know you're there for him but don't smother him and try not to be too morbid around him. Quite a few people I know have had cancer and generally they want people to treat them 'normally', not dwell on it all the time. If you can help him do things he's always wanted to do, and just hang out and have a laugh, be a good friend, it'll keep his spirits up and give you good memories too.
Good luck, and make sure your friends are there for you too, it's a tough thing to deal with

RIP Bally - You will be sorely missed

Thanks, guys. I'll treat him in normal way and probably, be there more than the usual.
