The ORIGIN of the F Word - Not sure it's true, but logical. lol

In the times of the old British Empire, if you were not of royal blood, you could not have any sexual relationships without the King agreeing. To have a baby, you had to request a meeting with the King, during which he'd give you a wooden sign that you had to put on your door and on which was written :
F.U.C.K., standing for Fornication Under Consent of King

I heard it was American soldiers during World War one who called German airoplanes "Fuckers" a mispronunciation of there actual name Fokkers.

And from then anything or anybody annoying was called a Fucker.

I've heard that too.

Why is it that the world never remembered the name of Johann Gambolputty de von Ausfern-

The link Griffin posted is interesting cause they discount it because a King would be doing nothing else all day but giving out F.U.C.K. It certaintly sounds like it has Germanic origins.

The earliest cite in The Oxford English Dictionary dates from 1503. John Ayto, in his Dictionary of Word Origins cites a proper name (probably a joke or parody name) of 'John le Fucker' from 1250, quite possibly proof the word we casually toss about today was being similarly tossed about 750 years ago
