Avacados

I haven't had any desire to eat an avacado till today so I went out to buy one. I'm a little confused. It didn't have much flavor. Did I buy an unripe one? What should it taste like?

I dunno, but the avocados I get here in Florida are tasteless too compared to that of Caribbean.

I hear those green florida avacados are different from the blackish ones from california which is what I bought. How did the carribean ones taste?
