Olympic Gymnastics - Hearing Set to Settle Gold Medal Dispute

This is probably old news, but maybe some people haven't heard about it yet. The South Korean and American gymnastic blahs will sort out the gold medal stuff from the mens AA final here, apaprently, as will the Canadian and Romanian vaulting blahs.

Some other disputes in other sports are mentioned but the focus here is the gymnatics disputes.

Good that he gets a 'day in court'. However, there is a VERy good chance they'll say the sports eqivalent of 'not in our jurisdiction'.

Not blind. Not uninformed. We are party to atrocities. But the response of the world after 9/11 is worth noting. Even our most dire enemies offered aid. We should all be so lucky.

I don't expect any good to come of it, either way.

It's probably not him so much as it is his federation. I was surprised to see that the Canadian federation had gone forward with their protest of the vault score after Kyle said that he wasn't interested in all that blah, that the final score is the final score and he's happy with his performance.

Oh well.

The federation is most probably persuing with their complaint because they are thinking more than what happened to Kyle in Athens. In those kind of cases, the more noise the Canadians make about officiating mistakes now, the more likely the officials will be careful when judging a Canadian performance in the future - atleast that's how it works in soccer. So, I think it is not a bad idea they are going forward with the protest although I think their case is weak.
