Colin Powell: is he for real?

Powell to Washington Post regarding Russia's promise to make preemptive strikes against terrorists around the world

He said, “You [Russia] will have to make your case — once you’ve pre-empted something — to the world and to your own people that it was the right thing to do.”

Mr. Powell also said a top Russian general may have gone too far when he said last week that Moscow was ready to act “around the world.”

“I think the Russians may have overstated how they might pre-empt, and they sort of pulled the statement back a little bit, because of certain nervousness created in the international community,” he said.

Is he expecting the same kind of case as Bush administration made for war in Iraq?

I hope someone will point that he's just a full bullshit and double standards...

I agree with you. He and Rice were the memebers of administration I did like 3 years ago. I thought they are a very counter good balance to the likes of Ramsfeld and Co....
