Face it, everyone has a favourite song. One that they could hear a million times and not tire of it. WHAT'S YOURS?!

Mine is:

I love that song. Best ever.

Post a link to the lyrics of your fave song!

Why is it that the world never remembered the name of Johann Gambolputty de von Ausfern-
kalbsfleisch-mittler-aucher von Hautkopft of Ulm?

i cant pick just one.

for now, thou...

leonard cohen - the future

....This is fucked up, fucked up....

This is your blind spot, blind spot.
It should be obvious, but it's not.

You cannot kickstart a dead horse
You just crush yourself and walk away
I don't care what the future holds
Cause I'm right here in your arms today
With your fingers you can touch me

I'll be your black swan, black swan
I'm for spare parts, broken up.

I sang some good tunes in "Smash Up: The Story of a Woman" particularly after I hit rock bottom and then go straight and try to land a nightclub act, I sing a real heartbreaker. Then of course I fall back off the wagon, kidnap my own infant daughter back from my ex who got custody, steal off to my country house, and then light the house on fire with a cigarette when I'm drunk, singlehandedly stage a daring rescue of the baby whose room is engulfed in flames, then get to safety with the baby and then reunite with my ex and swear off the sauce forever. And that's just the last 10 minutes of the movie! It just came out on DVD, so buy it and enjoy me at my best.

Other from that, "I'll Plant My Own Tree" is a real show-stopper, even though they later dubbed my voice over from that bitch Margaret Whiting. They just knew my voice was better than Neely's and didn't want me to steal the picture.

Whitney Houston and her receipts:

Smiley, if you're into the great Bob Dylan, I hope you've listened to some of his great really long masterpieces. The only one that was a chart hit was Like a Rolling Stone but the best IMO are Black Diamond Bay, and Stuck Inside of Mobile With the Memphis Blues Again.

Helen, whattsa matter, you don't like the Gershwin brothers' 1931 I've Got Rhthym (put on the pop charts by The Happenings in 1967)? BTW, the late Irving Berlin was such a cheap SOB that he wouldn't (@ age 98 or so) waive his royalty for White Christmas 2B used for free in a movie where all the proceeds went to the Vietnam vets, like Springsteen and others did.
