There was a time, and a time when most Americans today were alive, when terrorism was the norm in the United States.
Too bad 'the War on terrorism' doesn't include going back and putting real effort into finding the perpetrators of the thousand of bombings and lynchings perpetrated against Americans, on American soil, from 1870 to 1965. Especially in the many cases where government officials were complicit in those terrorist attacks.
Proud to be an American
Not blind. Not uninformed. We are party to atrocities. But the response of the world after 9/11 is worth noting. Even our most dire enemies offered aid. We should all be so lucky.
