The Exclusive Whitney Houston Interview
September 15, 2004
Pop diva WHITNEY HOUSTON is scheduled to perform at tonight's World Music Awards in Las Vegas as a tribute to her mentor and industry father, music mogul/producer CLIVE DAVIS.
Tonight on ET, our own MARK STEINES is exclusively with Whitney in Sin City to get her take on her career, life with her daughter and hubby BOBBY BROWN and her road back to health after voluntarily entering rehab in March.
The couple's last big, public appearance was at Disneyland in August with their daughter, BOBBI KRISTINA. The trio made it a family affair for the premiere of 'Princess Diaries 2: The Royal Engagement,' which Whitney co-produced. It was the singer's first, very public appearance in the U.S. after finishing her stint in rehab.
The pop diva, who had just flown in from China where she performed three concerts, told Mark that she was feeling good, and that no matter what the press says, she doesn't expect anything to come between her and Bobby and that they will be together "for the long haul." She attributed their longevity to "God" and "family," saying, "You have support of family, people who love you, you can make it. You can do it."
Watch ET tonight for more of Mark's intriguing interview with Whitney! The World Music Awards air live from Las Vegas at 9 p.m. EST on ABC.
