The Leftovers should be included this year and Carrie Coon should be nominated in best supporting actress for her role as Nora Durst. Doubt they get it right unfortunately.

It's also worth noting that returning winners Ben Mendelsohn and Margo Martindale are eligible in different categories, while Allison Janney is submitting in Comedy Lead Actress this year.

Re: 69th Primetime Emmy Awards

Here's hoping for some love to The Leftovers in her farewell Season but I'm not optimistic after the complete and baffling snub last year

It's not a supporting role though, despite not showing in some episodes. She is fantastic anw as Justin Theroux. I think he is very expressive and a bit underrated.

I think she's going lead, and with Foy, Moss, Davis, Russell, Wood, Wright, Danes and more, it's going to be hard. She so deserves it.

Re: 69th Primetime Emmy Awards

Yes Coon is entered in lead. It seems unlikely The Leftovers would get attention this year given that is has 0 nominations ever. The Americans did blow up last year after years of wondering why the Emmys weren't going for it, but Margo Martindale had gotten in for years and they had the Writing nomination from 2015 so it's a bit different. Tatiana Maslany is sort of a similar situation as well, but all this doesn't necessarily mean The Leftovers will show up this year. I'd bet against it.

Re: 69th Primetime Emmy Awards

Garfunkle and Oates were nominated last year for original song,so it's probable the song they wrote for the series Another Period could get nominated this year.

*Fingers crossed*

Re: 69th Primetime Emmy Awards

It's embarrasing that they keep snubbing The Leftovers Only Ann Dowd made it in Guest. At least Carrie Coon got it with Fargo.
Also is there any show more overrated than This is Us? You have to be kidding with 7 acting nominees. Even Milo Ventimiglia, Lord. It's a fine show but if you ask me similar family show Parenthood was 100 times better.

Re: 69th Primetime Emmy Awards

I'm glad the Emmys didn't forget about The Night Of. This show has been overlooked because of the buzz around OJ Simpson miniseries. Riz Ahmed deserved the Emmys.
