I was really looking forward to seeing what people here did
A lot of adults don't have time for the arts.
Sadly most of my best creative pieces are no longer with me. I quite enjoyed art and crafts back in high school.
Some of my work still hanging in the corridors actually. Unfortunately don't quite have the pictures.
I tend to be a sketch, etch and pastel guy.
Etching on black paper was one of my first projects and it worked really nice. Everyone else was into lino which is extremely tedious work but etching is quick, easy finish and you can plan ahead.
Here is an example of what you can do with it (though my detail would not be quite as good as this!)
The lines are so crisp with the etching tool, really a lot of fun to try.
I used pastels to draw a sunset (I know, so cliché). However I added a little bit of mineral turpentine to 'melt' the colours so you get great blended finish.
I also did a cream oil paint of a moon/exploding bomb hybrid. A bit bummed I seem to have chucked it out because it looked really nice.
What I do have left is one of my routine felt tip random sketches when I was bored.
meant to be some sort of drawing obstacle course. As you can see, my style is awfully similar to the Just! series of sketches that Andy Griffiths (well his illustrator, Terry Denton) produced. To be perfectly honest I have no idea how I came up with it.
