No, never. I hate all that nationalistic indoctrination.

Success is liking yourself, liking what you do, and liking how you do it.

Never, and I don't see why I should, it's hugely symbolic without any purpose.

I'm sure all Belgians feel a bond with Belgium, but just not as much as in the USA (I cannot imagine saying a pledge everyday at school or having the belgian flag hanging outside!) or France,.... I could even never see myself fighting for my country. If there's a war in Belgium I'll just move

In Soviet times, our national radiostation would end its daily work by 12am with a national anthem and would start its daily program at 6am with a national anthem. Between 12am and 6am it was all quiet. So, when I was in University, it was a very patriotic and honourable act to crawl into your friend's room between 12am and 6am and set their quiet radio for maximum volume, just to make they all stand up to national anthem..

this makes me think about hockey. at dallas stars games, when they sing the anthem, all of the hillbillies scream, "STARSSSSSSSSS!" both times when it comes up in the song. it's disgusting and i glare at everyone sitting around me if they do it.

and i don't like listening to the anthem most of the time...all of these singers like to embellish it and let out all kinds of wild-ass notes. just sing it like it's written on the page, dude. it's our anthem, not american idol.

I just stand up if everyone else does so I don't look so flakey... kind of like in my save the children commercials. Look at me... it's plain to see that I don't really give a damn about them or I woudln't be stuffing my face all day while they're starving.

Blowing out someone else's candle does not make yours shine brighter.

Never.

A man may fight for many things. His country, his friends, his principles, the glistening ear on the cheek of a golden child. But personally, I'd mud-wrestle my own mother for a ton of cash, an amusing clock and a sack of French porn.
