As a non-practicing (yet deeply spiritual) agnostic who enjoys a nibble at Buddhism, spread on a slice of Christianity with a healthy dollop of New Age mysticism and just a pinch of the Pagan, my current 'snack du jour' (reflecting this eclectic mix) is:
A lightly toasted pita bread, cut to form a 'pocket' into which is spread a layer of houmous, a blob of guaccamoli(sp), a sprinkling of grated feta, some halved black olives and some wild rocket leaves.
Take a hot samosa (veggie is my choice), chop it into three equal triangles and cram them into the pita with everything else. Add a blob of coleslaw - enjoy!
This tasty treat was invented by my daughter one rainy afternoon and I, being forced to tidy up the mess in the kitchen, thought, "Oh fuck it - if you can't beat 'em; join 'em!"
Man, proud man, drest in a little brief authority, most ignorant of what he’s most assured,
his glassy essence, like an angry ape, plays such fantastic tricks before high heaven,
as makes the angels weep.
