Are you watching the Closing Ceremonies?

What a great show so far...Diane Reeves, Kiss, Gloria Estefan, Earth Wind & Fire, Savion Glover...

And my eyes were swelling watching Dorothy Hamill skate to Harry Connick Jr.'s rendition of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow". I just love Dorothy!

Yes, I am watching. I enjoyed Gloria Estefan's performance very much and Ilia Kulik on ice.

It was a good closing ceremonies, but I'm just wondering why the hell they brought in Christina Aguilera when they did...that performance had absolutely nothing to do with the Olympic Spirit or anything to do with any aspect of the Olympics at all. She shoudlnt' have performed when she did, they could have waited another hour or so to put her on. That was nothing but Christina saying 'this is all about me me me...' I can't stand her anyways...
Other than that though it was pretty entertaining!
I just can't believe though, that my two weeks of TV heaven are over!

tiger - two words: it sucked.

"They came for the Communists,
but I didn't speak up because
I wasn't a Communist. They came
for the Jews, but I didn't speak up
because I wasn't a Jew. They came
for the trade unionists, but I didn't
speak up because I wasn't a trade
unionist. They came for the Catholics,
but I didn't speak up because I was
a Protestant. Then they came for me,
but by that time there wasn't anyone
left to speak up for me."

MItch I agree. Christina Aguilera's performance there was just to boost her publicity and to promote her new single off her new album. I hate her too.

Other than that the ceremonies were good. I liked watching all the skaters. I never REALLY enjoy the closing ceremonies becuase I hate having Olympics withdrawls.
