It occurs to me looking @ the helpless fear of those kids: its a good way to make them lash out in anger in a decade as terrorists (as soon as they encounter some real-life problems).

Got to admit I was and still pro war, but I wanna see peace in Iraq, and around the world.

Brighton and Hove Albion FC, England and Sussex CCC

Present faves in no order: Shahar Peer, Heather Watson, Anne Keothavong, Venus Williams, Serena Williams, Sabine Lisicki, Petra Kvitova, Jelena Jankovic, Maria Sharapova, Daniela Hantouchova

Missing: Anna Kournikova, Nicole Vaidisova, Amanda Coezter, Lindsay Davenport (though see her as BBC Wimbledon pundit these days), Monica Seles!

I've finally come to this realization, also... it's like it's the only thing this war is accomplishing.

To be fair to the Americans in any war it's impossible to avoid civilian casualties

Still these pictures need to be seen

Torture and humiliation of prisoners however, IS avoidable.

http://thememoryhole.org/war/iraqis_tortured/

And as someone who comes from a military family, the pictures in that link tell me those soldiers had no fear of retribution for their acts. Their superior officers knew what was going on, and approved OF it, if they didn't specifically authorize it.

Nor is the worst of what's been happening to Coalition prisoners, from published reports.

Proud to be an American
Not blind. Not uninformed. We are party to atrocities. But the response of the world after 9/11 is worth noting. Even our most dire enemies offered aid. We should all be so lucky.

I agree on what is Volcana is saying about the torture and humiliation of prisoners. It seems they are not going to winning hearts and minds on this.
