Commonwetlh COuntries or Monarchy No it alls

I was just wondering if any of the people that post her belong to the commenwealth and the monarchy of queen elizabeth, Just wondering when u become a republic are u still eligible to enter the commonwealth games?? Coz I think India and Canada are in the commonwealth but they now are a republick, any questions to wherter they are allowed still in?

The Commonwelth is for all countrys that used to be part of the Great British commonwelth i.e all the countreis britian used to rule

So say u become a republick and exit the commonwealth u r still eligible to enter the games because the queen onced ruled over u?

yes - you don't have to still be under the rule of Brittain in order to compete in the commonwealth games.

Canada is a prime example. We are - or at least like to think - we're our own country.

Also, doesn't South Africa compete?
