Where is the umpire chair on Arthur Ashe?

I don't want a blocked view Can someone tell me where the umpire sits - is his/her chair in front of 51-64 or 26-13?

Re: Where is the umpire chair on Arthur Ashe?

Assuming that map is North up, 51-64.

But note the following. The seats are WAY off the court at Ashe. Much further, by way of comparison, then Armstrong. So the bad news is that the seats are way back from the court. The good news is this makes being blocked by the chair much less of an issue then it would be at Armstrong.

And remember, on the opposite side you have the two TV cameras. They are placed closer to the seats then the umps chair and can block people that are too low and too close to them. So pick your poison. Probably why the seats behind the court are more expensive (well that and the head turning thing).

Enjoy the tennis.

Because if you sit behind the chair umpire, your view of the court will be obstructed by his/her chair.
