"I want to do things on my own terms, I can't have anything take me out.
I have never given up and it's important for me to prove to myself that I can do this, and to prove to me that i'm a champion.
If I were just to sit down, lay down and give in, then I wouldn't have any respect for myself." VW
I guess I may as well ask this here since I'm having no fortune....
I finally located the app in iTunes, but I just installed iTunes for the first time on my Compaq desktop PC. I have _never_ had any real problems with any weblink authorization of other programs, but I can not get iTunes account verification to work. I tried rerunning the web browser as well as rerunning iTunes itself, and I still get the same error msg. "Try running iTunes..." (even when it's already running!!!!) I'm not interested in rebooting the PC, and I really shouldn't have to for something like this!
Does anyone know off a backdoor/end-run workaround to get account authorization to work? Anyone else have this sitch before? ...so annoying. In this day of "cloud computing" you'd think that iTunes would be Web-based.
edit: I tried both links posted in the forum, and neither work. I still get "If iTunes doesn't open, click the iTunes application icon in your Dock or Windows Task Bar." which just gives me the run-around again.
