Re: Rain Delay at Pilot Pen

ewww rain is terrible.
and espn2 is worse for not figuring out a way to get their lazy butts over to the indoor courts.

And the dish ran away with the spoon..
but Hawaii was the only state that would recognize the marriage as legal.

ESPN 2 was originally going to show both ladies matches today, but Mother Nature intervened.

I guess ESPN2 wants to keep their equipment here for tomorrow, lol. The players don't have to worry about the size of the crowd indoors since the sport is run by sponsors. Only the Majors can actually pay the players prizes. I just hope Caroline can find a way to win.

NEW HAVEN, Conn. -- Pilot Pen tennis tournament officials have decided to move the women's semifinals to indoor courts on the Yale University campus.

A steady rain led officials to cancel the daytime session, which was to have been played at the 15,000-seat Connecticut tennis center. They will instead be held at the newly renovated Cullman-Heyman Tennis Center, which has almost no fan seating.

The match between Flavia Pennetta and Caroline Wozniacki is scheduled to begin at 7 p.m. on one court, with the match between Amelie Mauresmo and Elena Vesnina starting a short time later on another.

ATP officials have not said what they plan to do about the men's semifinals.

Re: Rain Delay at Pilot Pen

Do they really need a rain delay?
Pilot Pen makes water-proof pens too, can't they just use one of those?

OMG, CBS is showing Mauresmo/Kuznetsova!!!

This is the 3rd time it's being shown on TV. Couldn't they have shown us tennis fans another match?!

They don't have anything more interesting from this year, because the camera's only started filming in the quarterfinals. So the only other match they could have shown was Woz vs Razzano.
