Re: Danish Delight - Caroline Wozniacki thread - vol 7

Friday is the Wimbledon draw. Since Caroline has already won Eastbourne, I think the draw is just as important as her semi.
Especially week 1. Needs a good section for 3 rounds

Caroline into Eastbourne SF !

Good win against Giorgi. Caroline is fighting again. And a Premier SF

She is focussing on tennis again. NEVER come back, Rory

Serena: "We have great personalities like Jelena (Jankovic) on the tour."
Jelena: "If I had to pick someone after me, I'd pick Serena."

Re: Danish Delight - Caroline Wozniacki thread - vol 7

In the bottom quarter with Li and Kvitova

Ben Rothenberg ‏@BenRothenberg 1m
Not bad for Caroline Wozniacki. Opens against Shahar Peer, then would get British WC Naomi Broady or Timea Babos. #Wimbledon

Re: Danish Delight - Caroline Wozniacki thread - vol 7

So Peer, Babos, Stosur, Li, Kvitova
If she can hold serve, she'll at least get to Li

Not too bad, at least she avoided big hitters in the first couple of rounds though I don't really know Babos' game. Serena's side avoided, good.

Now time to play a SF, let's see if she's in a goood mood today.

Re: Danish Delight - Caroline Wozniacki thread - vol 7

Caroline lost to Kerber after being up 63 20 and up 3-1 in the tb.
But a good week and a decent draw at Wimbledon.
She still has not made a final in 2014 and not won besides Luxembourg since 2012

Bottom half plays first then? So she has 2 days to recover.

Babos is a solid player. She hits the ball pretty hard, but not Giorgi hard. She has a pretty good serve and her backhand is sweet. Forehand can break down. I would say she's comparable to Karolina Pliskova without the serve or consistency. She's ranked 94 for a reason, lol. I saw her play at the US open in 2012 and that's what I took from it. She plays doubles a lot, too. She's also beaten Errani. If Caro plays like she did this week, then she shouldn't have to worry until Li.

Re: Danish Delight - Caroline Wozniacki thread - vol 7

Caroline cant look past anyone. First beat Peer. Thats a good draw, dont waste it.
If she and her dad are serious about majors, now is the time to show it. There's only one major after this until 2015, so take this one very seriously. Every round
Caro's only won 2 matches total in the 1st 2 majors, so no reason to look past any round.

Caroline Wozniacki says she's 'in a good place right now'. Looks it. Seems it. Played great this week.

Caro has really matured a lot since the break up! I am really proud of how she handled the whole situation!

Definitely. I don't doubt that she's suffering, but when the going gets tough the tough get going. She is a sweetheart though. I doubt that the thing would have dared to do this in a similar manner to a Serena or a Sharapova. Also a good thing for Caroline that she could count on (especially) Serena, Vika and Aga for support. It only goes to show that regardless of how competitive tennis may be, her colleagues have a lot of affection for her. That says a lot about Caroline as a person I think.

Thanks, she's one of the few players I have never watched. I checked her results and they are not very good but she did beat Keys 6-2 and 6-1 last week in Birmingham! So not to be taken lightly. But first Peer, Caro is 5-1 against her so it should go her way but lets touch wood she doesn't slip this year.

Re: Danish Delight - Caroline Wozniacki thread - vol 7

I'm disappointed that she lost today but she does have a favorable Wimbledon draw. Yes I'm aware that she's had many of these and hasn't capitalized but I feel this year will be different. So I'm ready.
