Big spread on Caro in today's Ekstra Bladet.

Caro's Wimbledon injury:"Two bones behind my Achilles tendon rubbed against each other. I couldn't do anything at all for 3 weeks. (1)
"My osteopath couldn't understand how I could keep playing, even if the ankle was taped up completely."
(3) It was a tough diagnosis, but but I've got used not to think about injuries. That's sport and your career can suddenly be over."

Yeah, its a tough sport to stay healthy. Sharapova is probably out for the year. Vika pulled out of IW and Miami. Got injured again at Wimbledon.

Thats why I dont know why Caro tried to finish that loss at Wimbledon. She's needs hardcourt, and if you're hurt on grass, she has to stop immediately. She was risking her whole hardcourt summer & fall by continuing and it was a tournament where she had no chance.

Yah, I think she was more aggressive or at least implementing it in a better manner during that post 2010 Wimbledon run.

I was mainly wanting to compare Caro's stats against some kind of similar players.

A lot larger sample would probably have to wait til at least November as I have other things that need my time.

Wow, she must have a huge pain threshold. I hope that nothing will spoil her path her at UO. If she managed at least R4 it would be amazing. Although I think that the audience in NY would love to see her in big matches during the second week.

@ Sharapova. Poor Maria, she was doing so well and this can be a massive setback to overcome.

I dont know what to expect, but if Caro is playing well, it should be a good day

Good draw for Caro. Hopefully she can take advantage of it.

Good luck Caro.

" 67 weeks. The most bizarre period in tennis history. At least she didn´t win a Slam."

Remember that, next time he comes in here trying to appear friendly. He is and always will be; an A*SE.

He is! I don't know why he keeps coming here, noone here is interested in his opinion, even if it's about golf and Rory!

Re: Danish Delight - Caroline Wozniacki thread - vol 6

Seems everyone saw this match different to me. People seem to think Duan has lots of potential and this was a good match. I thought it was pretty terrible stuff. I was disappointed with Caro tbh, she was pretty much just retrieving for a lot of this match. She could have won so much easier if she exposed Duan's glaring weaknesses. Duan was a ue machine, and I really don't know what people saw in her. She could hit a big ball if you gave her a ball in her strike zone, anyone who hits big can do that.

The hate for Caro is ridiculous in GM. If she loses, she gets hate. If she wins, she gets even more hate.

Resident fan of the ever slumping Karolina Wozniacki.

Well, let's hope that that hate reaches an all time high during the course of this tournament.

We knew already that he hates Wozniacki, didn't we? That post tells us nothing we didn't know already. Good reminder though.

I'm confident Caro's next opponent will be a South African with the initials CS.

Madison Brengle: "I'd rather chew on a pinecone than play this match (against Wozniacki)."
Nicole Melichar: "Do you want me to go find you one?"
