Some people might think that Heinz padded his reputation by working with a dream player like Graf who was already very smart, disciplined and motivated, but we've seen that Heinz can also work miracles by restoring a player who's lazy and extremely weak, mentally, and who is very,VERY difficult to coach with horrendous practice & training habits.

The big issue, for me, is that Heinz has previously said that he doesn't like the idea of travelling full-time.If Caro can be content with that, then we might be fortunate enough to see that partnership. With Caro's intelligence, having a coach like Heinz--even part-time--could make a difference, IMO

^ yeah that the only downfall IMO but I think Heinz can be a great coach all & all & I can remember Lindsey as well as Michael Mortensen said that Heinz would be the perfect coach for Caro also I think Caro needs too grown up some a coach can't always be there for u & that something I think will help her as well she need too learn how too figure thing out on her own sometimes because You can't call for a coach during the slams Not saying a coach is not needed she for sure needed a coach & I just always thought Heinz would be a great pick IMO.

In terms of temperament, Heinz is a superb coach; even if he and Caro disagreed on something, they could do so in a cordial manner

Caro would still need someone to be scouting out her opponents, running practice sessions at a tournament, and coming up with a game plan and going over it with Caro before the match.

Captain Matthew Gideon: I may have an idea.
Dureena Nafeel: I don't think you've recovered from your last good idea.
Captain Matthew Gideon: That would explain it.

I would pick Nigel Sears had he been available. He's done a great job with Ivanovic and considering that Caro has a better stamina and (probably) attitude I think they would be a dream team.

Re: Danish Delight - Caroline Wozniacki thread - vol 6

Now that she has to recover, she has time to get this all sorted out. What coach, what kind of schedule in 2014.
They have to get smarter. Each match has to be important, and dont enter a ton of tournaments in a row.
She has to get back to winning, if she's capable of it.
This is a disaster. There's no point in traveling the tour losing every tournament when you're a former #1.
She's a name, an easy target for everyone who wants a high profile win.

They need a whole change of philosophy, where Caroline shows up ready for round 1 and every match

Have read speculation that Nigel might BECOME available soon, so we'll see if he enters into the coaching search for Caroline

It look Like she be in Monaco tomorrow I guessing too get more treatment & heal anyone know ? I truly think she should just take the rest of the season off & comeback fresh for the next season

Re: Danish Delight - Caroline Wozniacki thread - vol 6

Let's face it the only chance of her taking the rest of the season off is if she is injured for the rest of season (which obviously wouldn't be a good thing). There is no chance she's taking the rest of the season off if she can compete. The camp even admitted you basically can't take time off as a tennis player. Plus doing this would be a huge gamble, Caro would probably return outside the top 20, well it doesn't get any easier from there. Given sponsor commitments though this just won't be a viable option full stop.

If she played injured in a 2nd round match, then of course if she feels she's healthy & can play, she's going to play.

But when she plays, she lost her 1st or 2nd match at 11 of 16 events this year.
Thats over 2/3rds, a very serious stat that has the rest of the tour wanting Caroline in their section of the draw.
I understand her overplaying in 2011. Older players avoid that. Maria played Stuttgart, Serena played Charleston. In 2011 Caroline was in the final of both, then added Brussels after Madrid, and Rome, and won Brussels. It was too much and I guess she had to burn out.
But that was 2 years ago, and as we see with Jankovic & Ivanovic, the 2nd climb towards the top is a lot more difficult.
Thats where she is now.

I agree. It would not be good to see that as a Caro fan because it would mean she was injured all season. Yes she should take time off to really make sure the injury is healed and yes I agree with goldenlox she has real problems with the level of her play and her consistency. But I can't see anything good for her or me as a fan in just taking the rest of the year off.

Yeah & i understand everything ya saying & also agree what ya saying but I wouldn't want her too comeback if she not fully heal & too make her injury even worse than what it is, For an example look what happen too Safina in her back by not let heal all the way & playing on it I wouldn't won't that to be the same case with Caro if needed for her too take the rest of the year of then yeah do what best in the long term

Though it gives me no pleasure to say this, Caro is a bit stronger, mentally, than Dinarik was. Near the end, Dinara became almost obsessed with proving that she wasn't the weak link in her tennis family, and she seemed almost haunted by her awful choke in the 2009 RG final. Those are the factors that we, at her forum, believe were the primary ones why she neglected her injured back and brought about the end of her career......Caro might be disappointed with her slamless status, but NOT to the harmful extent mentioned above
