Very easy opening, tricky round 2 and then an important round 3...honestly i think than a qf is a good perspective IF she can keep that level of playing

may your choices reflect your hopes not your fears.

If it's Errani then its obviously doable remember she got golden setted last year so QF run is expected.

Nothing to see here.

Kvitova is in Vika's quarter. Think of that draw.
Anyway, Hampton will probably lose round 1 to Stephens, so this semi is huge for her

Errani is the easiest seed to draw at Wimbledon. It could have been worse.

True, my mistake. Obviously the last three tournaments fall outside of your timeline. Regarding New Haven, how many top twenty players were there? When I say "big" I mean a field with most of the top twenty in it (typically majors, premier mandatories and premier 5s but there are some "small" tournaments, like Sydney, that I consider "big" due to the field). I also excluded Copenhagen for the same reason.

Caro lost to Hampton at eastbourne. Its amazing she got that far.
At least she's trying harder. her level of play is not good.

Re: Danish Delight - Caroline Wozniacki thread - vol 6

Just checked the draw... it's okay. At least a 1st round that should be easy, at least she can improve from last year. I hope she can reach at least 3rd round. It's funny because Errani got a super good quarter but on grass she's super vulnerable.

Re: Danish Delight - Caroline Wozniacki thread - vol 6

No match is easy for Caro. Stephens in round 3. Caro will probably lose in round 2 or 3.
But it doesnt matter. She has to improve her game.
Forehand, serve, volleying. Everything is still a mess.
Whatever coaching she's been getting isnt helping her

Re: Danish Delight - Caroline Wozniacki thread - vol 6

Losing to Hampton is no shame. Hampton is a very talented player who hasn't lived up to her potential until these last few weeks. She basically lost to a top 15 player on form (imo) The positives i take from the match is that Caroline's serve was great and she is hitting with more depth which gives her more winners. Her draw is good enough to make the 3rd round which should be tough (Hampton/Stephens/Petkovic)

Re: Danish Delight - Caroline Wozniacki thread - vol 6

Jamie Hampton is #41. Caroline Wozniacki is #9. There is no buts, maybes or perhaps about it. It IS a shame for No 9 to lose to No 41. The End (imho).

PS And I haven't even mentioned HOW she lost.

No it's not. Hampton beat 2 top 10 players(Kvitova/radwanska) in the last three weeks. In this case the rankings dont tell the story.

Re: Danish Delight - Caroline Wozniacki thread - vol 6

A few points here and there and she would be in the final, coming into the tournament I don't think most of us had high hopes. It sure wasn't pretty but let's not dramatize. At least it was a close loss and not what we suffered on clay. That was BAD.
Now time to rest a little and get ready for Wimbledon, she must have a good run. This isn't clay, no excuses.
