Ha, I dislike most the male commentators they have (Reed, Bradnam, Frew come to mind instantly). I just feel there is too many cliches about players and too little actual good insight, in fact they barely do any analysis at all. We also have the French Open on ITV here and they last year had a far more preferable commentary team (Courier, Petchey, Santoro, Mauresmo, some others). Unfortunately I think Courier has left this year, because his insight was very impressive. I like people who I can tell from their commentary clearly watch tennis all year round and have a great passion for it, no anti-womens tennis stuff etc. The only downside is ITV have literally the worst anchorman for the coverage ever .

One of my main gripes with Eurosport's commentary team is they literally bring up grunting, MTO's, comfort breaks, time between points hundreds of times throughout a grand slam.

Yes I did. Add that to my list. It just comes all very tired when I've heard it 1000s of times before. How "action needs to be taken", well it doesn't, because action never gets taken. On top of that I am sure they make things infinitely worse when they continually bring it up with regards to a casual fans perception.

Grunting really doesn't bother me at all. It's the sort of thing I only notice if I am intently trying to, otherwise I wouldn't notice it. Some people feel otherwise. With regards to casual viewers you make things worse though if you just keep bringing up these issues, nothing is going to be done anytime soon, you might as well leave it be, you want viewers after all.

At the Australian Open I got particularly annoyed by them talking about ATP's new time rule being in effect, when of course it wasn't.

In other news, Caroline has sunk so low that she isn't even favourite to win R1 in a grand slam anymore. Robson 52.38%-47.62% Wozniacki. I am pretty sure this will go more in favour of Robson by the time the match starts as well.

I'm looking forward to the mixed if she actually plays it. At least she won't be losing by herself.
Singles will be over in a blink of an eye.

If Lisicki closed out the Melbourne match, Caroline would be going for 4 round 1 slam losses in a row. 3 out of 4 is bad enough.
She'd better fight for this, or why is she still on the tour? Just go around the world losing every match? Is that her future?

Yeah, we can conclude that Caro, or maybe her entourage, is quite stubborn when it comes to her tennis patterns.

Yes, that Lisicki match was a lucky one for her, though I think she played good enough. She actually started the match playing well, then Lisicki went on a roll. She weathered the storm and came back strong in the 2nd. Third set was a mess but at least she managed to win the mental battle, which is weird these days.

On clay it's a different story though, her game isn't half as effective and specially now with zero confidence, she's most vulnerable.
I think she will fight but it won't matter, she can't hit flat for whatever reason and she's lost her depth that made her so tough. I miss the days she could rally all day.

Yeah I agree Blu€, I don't know why caro dosen't play double like she used too I think that something she need too start back doing. I Also hoping she can get back into the Swing of things first through, I don't know why she can't hit her shot flat nether I think she need too improve on that & being able too go for her winners but at the same time keeping the error low and & staying in the rally longer like she used too really just learning how too play Defense & Offense Tennis at the same time, Speaking of hitting her shot Flat Matt Cronin should too ask Sven Groeneveld on why she doesn't hit her shout flatten & why she doesn't hit open stanced forehand & why she not learning it, I like too hear wat Sven has too say, Anyway back on Topic IMO If thing continue too go this way with her result Which I hoping not I like too see & hear wat she going too do too make an change I hoping she find a coach too help her Improve

Re: Danish Delight - Caroline Wozniacki thread - vol 6

Good news, folks! If Caro wins,we can all celebrate and,if she loses,I'm gonna take a break and cool off for the day before returning...cuz,unless a higher-ranked player is upset, the inbred,two-legged dildos who run the WTA webpage will run a screaming headline about what an awesome win it was for Robson to beat Caro...and that will just drive me over the edge. It's fortunate that there isn't any WTA satellite office here in the north of Mexico b/c,after a headline like THAT one,I'd find some laid-off factory workers in a bar and tell them that the folks in the office were a bunch of strike-busting scabs having a gourmet meal at corporate expense...and then we'd rain down Molotovs on the MFs........Actually,I'd call the place a couple minutes in advance so that they could run for their lives before fire consumed the building

When the Lizards play their Trump card, humanity suffers

Monica Puig, guapa campeona de tenistas latinas

WTA suffering from Dementieva withdrawal, a lack of true queens

Congrats on Number Three, Kim! We need more of you in this world

@CWozniacki4Ever To clarify, Wozniacki's practising with @Petra_Kvitova - hard to see her on the screen in the press room.

Caroline was in the 2011 Rome semis, played a close match with Sharapova. Then won 2011 Brussels. Beat Fran, who was in her 2nd straight FO final 2 weeks later. That was after winning 2011 Charleston & reaching the Final of 2011 Stuttgart.

Its not that she cant play on clay. In the last 2 years, her game has deteriorated. She's a much weaker player now.
Her coaching has been terrible. Did you see the last point against Kvitova? Easy putaway and she hits it wide. Against Sveta in Melbourne she had a break point in set 3 & Sveta hit a drop shot. Caro got to it & tapped it right at Sveta. Just did the same thing aginst Zheng!
They cant teach her that when you run forward for a drop shot, point the racket to the open court, not right at your opponent! Its idiocy!

All the practices she had in the last 2 years have hurt her game. The whole goal of a practice is to help you. Instead of cleaning up the obvious things, like putting away a short lob, they took her forehand apart, and helped her with nothing!

But its Caroline fault. She wants to be the diva who just leaves to go watch full week of golf, while she knows her game is in disarray. And she stays with the same coaches who have ruined her game

Re: Danish Delight - Caroline Wozniacki thread - vol 6

Sad,sad how much she's deteriorated during the clay season. A great chance and she blew it like this. I'm really happy that I was not there to see her destruction in Brussels. Although having said that, the conditions were pretty tough. When I was there it was raining and very very cold.
First round against Robson is going to be a challenge, and, considering her current results it will be an uphill battle. I have no big expectations, so even if she manages at least this one round I'm fine with that. She should try to make the most of grass season after this. I bet that her sponsors are pretty furious right now...
