Re: Danish Delight - Caroline Wozniacki thread - vol 6

Another thing I'd like to add is that sponsors like Adidas have apparently resigned themselves to the slack attitude of WTA players.Maybe they're mindset is that the player can easily gain fame by posing for Playboy,no matter how pitiful her on-court results are,and the sponsors don't wanna miss out on all of the potential attention that the beauty might bring. These sponsors are about as threatening to players like Caro as a toothless,de-clawed,castrated,heavily-sedated tiger would be.I guess that, unless the player does something really,REALLY shameful that could embarrass the company(like starting a child-porn mag),Adidas isn't gonna do jack until a contract expires

Well, let's face it - compared to the rest of us who are struggling to make ends meet all tennis stars are spoiled children. In other sports it's even worse. I bet that the 10.000th best soccer player in the world makes a lot more money than the 40th best tennis player, and he doesn't even have to be especially good. But as far as Caro is concerned I don't mind. That girl doesn't have a mean bone in her body and if I was in a position to do so I would no doubt spoil her myself.

Having said that, I believe her when she says that there is less time for training since she became a name player. But for that, or for much of it anyway, she only has herself to blame. Don't bite of more than you can chew. As others have said, build your off-court activities around your tennis career and not the other way around. But of course, if you have lots of obligations away from tennis and also want to spend lots of time with your boyfriend it's only natural that your training, and as a result your tennis as well suffers.

Going by my experience as a regular poster at the Sharapova forum Marilyn Monheaux doesn't strike me as a Caro hater. I have no idea what everyone is up to at GM though.

Being a defensive player doesnt mean she floats in softballs and hopes for an error. She has to vary pace & placement. But it has to be consistent, in play with depth. If she cant do that anymore, she's in trouble. And it certainly looks like she's in trouble.

Yeah,I knew her back when she called herself 'Virgin Mary' before she changed her poster name, and that's why I gave her the ''.We used to chat a lot more in the Serb forum but,as you've heard,I no longer have any respect for one of her faves.Aye DO have lots of respect for Maria yet it almost felt like cheating,to me,for a male poster to be a Big Masha fan--plus there are a few too many psychologically unstable types in her forum(as 'Marilyn' will tell you). She comes in here on rare occasions but she's not really a true Caro fan so you won't see her much

Re: Danish Delight - Caroline Wozniacki thread - vol 6

I Kinda actually like the fact that she being more Aggressive And going for her shot, even know it not paying off atm I think that the right way too go, I hoping she can get too the level and start playing the way she did in 08-09 when she had a great balance of playing Offense and defense tennis. But I guess we have too wait and see how thing play off, she is trying too change her game style and play more Aggressive tennis, & we can't just think great result will come over night but at the same token I think she could work harder and get a new coach too help her retool & Improve her game, & some of the player she been losing too lately she should be beating them. But I guess that also due too low confidence, Also she doesn't seem too be enjoy tennis like she used too I hoping she find the love for the game again

Pretty much.
I like to call her Blahroline or WoZZZZzzzniacki, because I'm not a big fan of her game and some of her PR antics have rubbed me the wrong way, but I believe she can be better than she was when she was #1 and it's sad to see someone let all of their talent go to waste...

Another exit in 1st match !

Caroline is so bad I can only laugh. Absolutely pathetic

Serena: "We have great personalities like Jelena (Jankovic) on the tour."
Jelena: "If I had to pick someone after me, I'd pick Serena."

Pathetic is the right word. She came into the match with 4 straight losses. On a court she won a title the last time she played, and she was down 26 15.
An absolute mess. The quality of play, the effort level, the coaching. Top to bottom, everything going wrong

I should've said,'You won't see her much unless she's feeling horny for a Latino Muzzle Kiss.'

Germans are good folk, but the men don't rank too highly for their romantic prowess with women...maybe even lower than Belgians,if that's possible.....We'll see if Caro can one day provide you with some on-court excitement of the NON-romantic variety

Well, that's what 90% of TF always wanted though, wasn't it? Why otherwise all that hate 24/7 from 2009 up to and including early 2012? Why the namecalling? Why all the insults whenever she won? Why the celebrations whenever she lost? For that matter, why the celebrations and nasty gifs whenever she was injured? Why even go so far as to say that she should be stabbed to death? And those are the type of people who actually have the nerve to question HER character? The "I'm so sorry for her nows" of those type of posters mean absolutely NOTHING to me. As far as I'm concerned they can stick it where the sun don't shine. We don't want their sympathy when she's struggling and we won't need their congrats if she would ever do better again either. We don't want anything at all to do with that riff raff.

In re your closing emoticon,I wonder how many Belgians actually tote pistols around on the street.

Wasn't trying to change your mind, really, but I remember back when we disagreed on who should be allowed and/or encouraged to post in Caro's forum.Thankfully, you re-considered your plan to avoid the forum;out of curiosity, though, how long ago did you change your mind on letting GM bashers politely post here??

Very few because gun laws in Belgium are very strict. But if you intent to needle me just a little bit (although all in good fun, I know) with you mentionning Belgium so often as of late it won't work. Ones nationality means nothing to me because it's only a matter of coincidence and not achievement. It's neither something to be proud of or be embarrassed about as far as I'm concerned.

I will communicate with anyone who's polite. It's not my call to say who's allowed to post here and who isn't. That's the moderators job. But unfortunatey he only comes here once a year to wish everyone a merry Christmas and a happy new year. I have no idea who's who or what's what at GM anymore anyway. In the past I used to have weeks of being very active there followed by months of complete inactivity. Now I only very rarely visit GM anymore, and when I do so and I post something it's usually without reading the posts that preceded my own. I know that 95% of it is complete rubbish anyway, so I don't bother wasting my time on it.
