Re: Danish Delight - Caroline Wozniacki thread - vol 6

Yeah,I'm not sure that the INDOOR clay made any big difference;CSN is a clay specialist and Caroline obviously isn't.When you consider how Caro has struggled on some of her former BEST surfaces,it might be to much to ask her to replicate some of her rare past successes on clay right now

Congrats on Number Three, Kim! We need more of you in this world

I wouldn't call CSN a clay specialist. Sure she knows how to play on it but it's not like her results are better than Caroline. Caroline should be beating her no matter what, she's a top 10 player.

If I am honest I don't belive in it! It's not like I think she can't improve her game, but to me it looks like she lost some passion/ love for the game and her fighting, competititive spirit is gone somwhere!

Caroline these days = choking error machine with no serve

Good luck winning matches with this

Serena: "We have great personalities like Jelena (Jankovic) on the tour."
Jelena: "If I had to pick someone after me, I'd pick Serena."

Good Luck

Pretty accurate description.

The serve and UEs are killing her, I just don't understand how you go from being the most consistent player in the world to struggling to win every single match. You'd think 2 1R Slam losses would have waken her up but no, she seems complacent, which makes it even worse.

I think Piotr is smart enough and he will pull the trigger this year if results continue the same way.

Poor chap is losing his hair in frustration watching her poor play. Often seen sitting shaking his head and/or with his head buried into his hands. He tells her, when she plays like a clown and isn't afraid to disagree with her in the player's area.

He is not a miracle worker. If Caro can't give a fok anymore. What exactly will Piotr pull the trigger for?

Re: Danish Delight - Caroline Wozniacki thread - vol 6

this was a pretty expected loss sadly and not because CSN isn't that great player on clay, but because she usually is a good fighter and can be consistent, expecially on the surface.
Caroline on the other hand is completly caught in a land of confusion, she can't generate power without committing too many errors, expecially on clay, where her movement is also poor...her serve seem to let her down whenever it goes tight...let's face it, she's mentally a lot weaker: she faced a single BP in the whole first serve and got broken, lost serve on 6-6 in the tie break and couldn't hold anymore

the girl really needs to step aside and work harder instead of playing tournaments...I mean, she played some impressive tennis this year (against Bartoli) and could play smart at times (against Kerber), but this is becoming more and more of an exception.

may your choices reflect your hopes not your fears.

Re: Danish Delight - Caroline Wozniacki thread - vol 6

If she doesnt want to try hard, she should play less, not more. Adding tournaments like Brussels wont help, because she doesnt care enough.
I think a big part of this is her dad & team around her. She was #1 and trying hard. It was easy to see that going for wild forehands was leading to tanking, going back as far as the losses to Vinci & Mchale summer of 2011.
Her team took her out of the steady successful game she had. Now she makes a lot of errors and doesnt care any more

Even if you're on the right track, you'll get run over if you just sit there

Re: Danish Delight - Caroline Wozniacki thread - vol 6

What I don't understand is I thought at one point she and her team said she was going to try to go back to what she had, ie. as solid as a rock defensive game. Now it seems we're back where we were a year ago of taking on high risk shots, and Caro at least talking up a more aggressive game as the way forward .

I mean pull the trigger and go home, live his life without the stress of coaching Caro, I think he's probably more frustrated than anyone.

I don't think Caro's gonna get better on this surface without playing on it though.

Very lackluster effort after losing the 1st set, regress!
